development and implementation of an optimized control strategy for induction machine in an electric vehicle

in the area of automotive engineering there is a tendency to more electrification of power train. in this work control of an induction machine for the application of electric vehicle is investigated. through the changing operating point of the machine, adapting the rotor magnetization current seems to be useful to increase the machines efficiency. in the literature there are many approaches wh...

an infinite planar array of rectangular microstrip patch antenna analysis

the methods which are used to analyze microstrip antennas, are divited into three categories: empirical methods, semi-empirical methods and full-wave analysis. empirical and semi-empirical methods are generally based on some fundamental simplifying assumptions about quality of surface current distribution and substrate thickness. thses simplificatioms cause low accuracy in field evaluation. ful...

Finite Elements for Reissner-Mindlin plate bending problems

We consider the plate bending problem in the framework of the Reissner-Mindlin theory. For a clamped plate, the problem can be written in variational form as follows. Find (θ, w) ∈ (H 0 (Ω)) ×H 0 (Ω) : ∫ Ω Cε(θ) : ε(η) + μ t−2 ∫ Ω (∇w − θ) · (∇v − η) = ∫

An asymptotic strain gradient Reissner-Mindlin plate model

In this paper we derive a strain gradient plate model from the three-dimensional equations of strain gradient linearized elasticity. The deduction is based on the asymptotic analysis with respect of a small real parameter being the thickness of the elastic body we consider. The body is constituted by a second gradient isotropic linearly elastic material. The obtained model is recognized as a st...

Convergence Properties and Numerical Approximation of the Solution of the Mindlin Plate Bending Problem

We study the behavior of the solution of the Mindlin problem when the thickness becomes small, paying particular attention to the shear stress. We also propose a modification of a known scheme that allows the use of linear finite element approximation and we prove optimal error bounds.
